Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to LicenseHub ("LicenseHub", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the application.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LicenseHub.

1. Description of the Service

LicenseHub is a software license management application providing the following capabilities:

Core Features

  • Secure storage and management of software license metadata
  • Subscription expiry reminders and notifications
  • Expense statistics and financial analysis
  • Search, filtering, and category management

Security Features

  • Local-first data storage with optional encrypted cloud sync (Pro)
  • Encrypted protection of sensitive license keys via the iOS Keychain
  • Optional biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)

Service Limitations

  • LicenseHub is intended solely for managing licenses you legitimately own.
  • LicenseHub does not provide license verification, activation, or validation services for third-party software.
  • LicenseHub is not responsible for the validity, transferability, or licensing terms of any third-party software whose information you store within the application.

2. User Responsibilities

By using LicenseHub, you agree to the following:

Lawful Use

  • You will only store information about licenses you legally own or are otherwise authorized to manage.
  • You will not use the application for any illegal purpose.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Data Accuracy

  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the application.
  • You agree to promptly update any expired or changed information.

Prohibited Activities

  • Do not store information related to pirated, illegally obtained, or fraudulently acquired software licenses.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive source code from the application, except as expressly permitted by law.
  • Do not interfere with the normal operation of the application or its servers.
  • Do not use the application to distribute malware, harmful content, or to engage in any abusive activity.

3. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

  • LicenseHub, including its source code, design, branding, and trademarks, is the property of LicenseHub and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the application without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

Your Rights

  • You retain all ownership rights to the data you enter into the application.
  • We make no claim of ownership over your license information.
  • You may export or delete your data at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Rights

  • You agree to respect the intellectual property rights of all third-party software developers whose license information you store within the application.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The application will operate uninterrupted, error-free, or be entirely secure.
  • The application will be compatible with all devices, operating system versions, or future iOS releases.
  • Any data stored in the application will be preserved indefinitely or recoverable in all circumstances.

You are responsible for backing up your important data. We strongly recommend regular export of critical license information.

We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party data, including currency exchange rates fetched from external services for analytical purposes.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the application shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us for the application in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill.
  • The above limitations do not apply to liability arising from our willful misconduct, gross negligence, or to any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Time Limitation: Any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the application must be brought within one (1) year of the date the claim arose, or such claim shall be permanently barred, except where prohibited by applicable law.

6. Service Changes and Termination

Service Updates

  • We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the application at any time.
  • Material changes will be communicated through in-application notifications or release notes.
  • Use of new features may require acceptance of updated Terms.

Service Termination

  • We may discontinue the application or terminate your access for operational, legal, or business reasons.
  • You may stop using the application at any time by uninstalling it.
  • We recommend exporting any important data before discontinuing use.

Application Removal

  • If the application is removed from the App Store, previously downloaded copies may continue to function but may not receive further updates or technical support.

7. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

  • We encourage you to first contact us at legal@licensehub.app to attempt amicable resolution of any dispute.

Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of LicenseHub is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

8. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date, and material changes will be communicated through in-application notifications where appropriate.

Your continued use of the application following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the application.

9. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

  • These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LicenseHub regarding your use of the application and supersede any prior agreements.

Severability

  • If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

No Waiver

  • Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Language

  • These Terms are originally drafted in English. Translations are provided for convenience only; in case of any conflict, the English version shall prevail.

10. Auto-Renewing Subscription Terms

LicenseHub offers the following auto-renewing subscription products through the Apple App Store:

Auto-Renewal Terms

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
  • No refund will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period after cancellation, except as required by applicable law.

Pricing Changes

  • If we change the price of a subscription, we will notify you in advance and obtain your renewed consent where required by applicable law before the new price takes effect.

The yearly subscription includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. After the trial period, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
