Welcome to LicenseHub ("LicenseHub", "we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard the information you provide when using our application.

By downloading, installing, or using LicenseHub, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information We Collect

Device Information

  • Device model and operating system version
  • Application version and crash diagnostic logs
  • Device identifiers used solely for technical support

License Information You Enter

  • Software names and license-related metadata
  • Purchase dates, expiry dates, and pricing information
  • Notes and category information

Information We Do Not Collect

  • The actual content of your license keys (stored locally on your device only — see Section 3)
  • Personally identifiable information beyond what you voluntarily provide
  • Location data
  • Contacts, photos, or media library content

2. How We Use Information

We process the information described above for the following purposes:

Core Functionality

  • Providing license management and tracking features
  • Calculating statistics and generating expiry reminders
  • Enabling search, filtering, and category management

Service Improvement

  • Analyzing application performance and diagnosing crashes
  • Improving usability and developing new features
  • Providing technical support upon request

We do not sell your information to third parties, use it for advertising, or perform behavioral tracking.

3. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

  • All license data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.
  • Sensitive information (license keys) is stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain.

Security Measures

  • AES-256 encryption is applied to sensitive data at rest, leveraging the iOS Secure Enclave where available.
  • Optional Face ID / Touch ID biometric authentication, provided through Apple's Local Authentication framework.
  • Clipboard contents containing sensitive data are automatically cleared after 90 seconds.

Device Binding

  • License key data is bound to the device hardware via the Keychain access control list and is not included in standard iCloud backups.
  • Uninstalling LicenseHub does not automatically remove Keychain entries from your device.

Optional iCloud Sync (Pro Feature)

  • When you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, license metadata (name, icon, URL, notes, dates, email, price, currency, billing cycle, source, usage limits, category, timestamps) is synchronized to your private iCloud database via Apple's CloudKit framework.
  • License keys are synchronized via iCloud Keychain using end-to-end encryption — neither LicenseHub nor Apple can access them.
  • All synced data resides in your private iCloud namespace and is accessible only by you.
  • You may disable sync at any time; locally stored data is preserved.
  • To delete cloud-stored data: iOS Settings → [your Apple ID] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → LicenseHub.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of LicenseHub, our users, or the public
  • To prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats

LicenseHub uses the following third-party platforms inherent to iOS distribution:

  • Apple App Store for application delivery and in-app purchases (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
  • CloudKit and iCloud Keychain (Apple) for optional iCloud Sync, as described in Section 3

5. Your Rights

You retain full control over the data you store in LicenseHub:

  • Access: view all data stored in the app at any time within the application interface
  • Modification: edit or update any license entry or application setting
  • Deletion: delete individual license entries or use the "Clear All Data" function to remove all data
  • Portability: export your license data (feature availability subject to your application version)

6. Children's Privacy

LicenseHub is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@licensehub.app and we will promptly delete such information.

7. International Data Transfers

LicenseHub is designed to keep data on your device. When you enable iCloud Sync, data is transferred to Apple's iCloud infrastructure, which may store data in regions outside your country of residence. Such transfers are governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices.

8. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced within the application and reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of LicenseHub after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
